Generation two of the MYDO Lure brand has been rolling out in all new kit! The new MYDO Luck Shot and Luck Shot Mini range are spearheading the new look and the utility of the reusable packaging.

Coming soon… all inserts will be bumper stickers with instructions on the back and reusable plastic containers – packaging is a major issue with pollution worldwide and we aim to do our bit – make a difference, and to add value by putting more research and consideration into MYDO packaging.

Thanks for bearing with us as we give the old thesardine.co.za a a good service and a clean out of all sorts unwanted like dodgy plugins and code snippets, or gremlins, as they are known to fisherfolk…

But we are getting through it all…and you can look forward to a more dynamic and user friendly interface, a very fast loading time, and as much surfing, fishing, diving, environment and tech content than you can eat in a sitting.

Website maintenance like what we are doing today, is much like having to service your car…software repositories tend to accumulate more and more resources and datas with time. You gotta flush it all out!

To make up for it, here is that awesome wave at Barra again…

South Africa – Quiksilver Announces 2015 South African Surf Series – Surf lifestyle brand Quiksilver has announced their 2015 event calendar which includes their exciting three-part Get Free Series. In 2014 the brand, along with Surfing South Africa, staged the very successful Takes One To Know One Series with events in Cape Town, Umdloti, KZN and Victoria Bay, in 2015 the decision has been made to bolster the series by adding an under sixteen junior division and moving the events to two new locations, namely Umhlanga Rocks, KZN and Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape.

The Umzimkulu Marina is hosting another one of it’s famous fish braai’s on Sunday 1 March 2015.

Fresh fish in many guises – complimented with chicken and vegetarian dishes, served on the riverside green grass at the Umzimkulu Marina. (Lot 931 Sugar Mill Rd – approximately a kilometer after Spiller’s Wharf when coming from Port Shepstone the river way).

There is plenty parking so drive right in – the cooking starts at noon but many make a day of it and arrive as early as just after church!

BYO beer and refreshments, a chair to sit on, or a blanket and umbrella to really get comfortable. You can also bring your fishing rods, and free boat rides on the river will run all day.

The cost is R80 per person, kids R30.
