after that uh
last news we had with the fish going up
the sardines going up to Natal
the guys try to get their permits brought forward
cause they only allowed to start netting in may
but uh
that is now false news the sardines are actually
on their way to Port Elizabeth
they’re between uh
Port Alfred and Port Elizabeth at the moment
and good sardine a lot of sardine
big sardine
Natal’s got red eye
a lot of red eye all the whole south coast of Natale
so there is sardine there
I was in the Transkei 10 days ago yeah
the Transkei middle Transkei was full of shad
a lot of mackerel and red eye
um East London is out of control with the shad
so things are starting to look normal again
we’re getting sardines back in our area
and most probably next month
we can expect things to move again
where things will start moving up to Nutella
sort of next month the month after
and then you’ll start hearing the reports of
the shoals on their way up to Natal
but uh yeah
it’s all looking pretty normal again
but everything is still out of
out of sync from the prawn trawlers up in Durban
their first catches of the year very
very bad
unusually bad from that Stanger area
the squid is still very very bad
they’re catching undersize squid
well minute squid
but the side inside is starting to look better again
and uh yeah
it has improved
