MYDO Professional Boat Rigging: from bow to stern, port to starboard, we rig good and proper. Working with the likes of Captain Duarte Rato up in Mozambique, you get to learn the ropes. The real ropes! From the waters you fish to the fish you are after, the variables are exponential – and this is how we approach a season. Custom-rigged boats with spreads and techniques that we know will produce fish for you where you are fishing. And when.

Our network of guides and skippers spans a wide area, and we draw on these valuable resources each time we rig someone up for a trip. And help plan out a strategy that includes underwater topography, current monitoring, available bait and time of year.

Rods and Reels

New lines, top lines, and leaders.

Preventive maintenance and lubrication on reels and moving parts.

Outrigger inspection and maintenance.

Where necessary, full reel servicing can be arranged. Rod repairs too.

Tackle

A spread for every occasion. A trace for every bait. A lure for every fish. Spreads available include;

• King Mackerel Spread
• Queen Mackerel Spread
• Dorado Spread
• Billfish: heavy seas
• Billfish: calm seas
• Billfish: stripes and sails

We can also supply and rig bait-catching spreads and lures. All these items are not included and can be ordered separately in the MYDO section of the online store.

Electronics

Full examination and service/update where needed, on navigation and positioning kit. Inspecting wires and circuits/fuses.

Trailer

Wheel bearings and any other perishables inspected and replaced. Whinch re-spooled if needed. Grease where applicable. Complete trailer inspection.

Boat

Inspection and thorough cleaning inside and out. Arranging repairs to canopy, frame, cushions and any other dents or scratches. Steering thoroughly serviced and tested.

Motors

Visual inspection with wet-start and monitoring. Grease where relevant. Filters cleaned ot changed out.
