Jason Heyne on Snoek patrol
Jason Heyne reports in with the very good news that some Natal Snoek are about. They have been spotted patrolling the backlines on the KZN South Coast, just in time to intercept the sardines if they pitch up this year.
“The diving conditions this week have been above average. The bad news is that the surf picks up Saturday and the North East is on it today (Friday). Daga salmon, big garrick and big Croc king mackerel are around with some snoek patrolling backline. Saturday there’s not much wind during the day with a light south West blowing late afternoon. Sunday a light offshore blows in the morning switching to a moderate south West which freshens later in the day. The swell runs at 1.7m Saturday and Sunday. So Saturday looks like the better day for a dive. As always dive safe and straight spears. “
Thank you Jason!
