Summer Game fish showing up @ Bazaruto…
After a really mild and windless winter it started to warm up really good in early September and everyone out there is happy to see that the game fishing is picking up steadily. Nice size wahoo are arriving, some good cuda up to 25 kg are being caught, there as been excellent plugging for GT´s and Yellowfin are all over the place.
My boys on Vamizi had Kevin and Jared Goodard fishing with them the last three days on their first visit to the archipelago. Having caught / released 44 game fish in those 3 days including YFT, wahoo, cuda, natal snoek, rainbow runner, GT´s, Yellowspotted kingfish, bonitos and skipjack, they were delighted with their light tackle efforts.
I was running the Triton for Carl Jankowitz the last 5 days and between Marlin fishing we did a bit of plugging and got some GT´s on stickbait and had some good wahoo and YFT as a by catch on the lures.
Great to see an early summer bringing it on….
