Get used to carrying batteries around though! Luckily the solar panel is also quite portable and adaptable in its current flat-panel form. So you can move that between boats and the office. Means – just buy more batteries and panels as you go along. To increase your capacity. You will need to upgrade your inverter as you increase utility usage, however. But this is why we start at a reasonably high 800w specified inverter. And, you can always separate your solar starter kit system into mini-systems. Each with its own inverter, controller, panels and batteries. Negating that dreaded bad battery ruins everything situation.
