Digital Disaster!

Well, you may have noticed thesardine.co.za a little quiet these past weeks – the fabulous but temperamental Nokia N8 I was using to run the site with, went swimming…this happens to me often, I was actually surprised it lasted so long!

So, when the season is over and I get my old number and new phone going…we will be more up to date and real time.

In the meantime…

The June / July season is a tough one for us. The cooler water…22 degrees average, does not bode well for couta fishing. They are easier to spear though – they move really slowly in the cold. Joe Mulder of Hibiscus Coast area is here and shot a 21kg couta two days ago. Big smiles.

Chad who fishes Casa Barry’s boat got a 200kg marlin a few days ago too…not sure of the details yet…

So it’s been a few couta on live baits, and then the yellowfin that is keeping us busy. Have not seen a bonito in weeks, but the netters at the mouth have ensured a steady supply of interesting species for bait…

It is raining today with a nice low depression moving over…sure to warm the water and stir up the fishing…
