Well we did get into trouble with the tourism people of PSJ, as they firmly believe bathing and surfing should take place elsewhere.

Rightly so…

So many attacks and fatalities in the corner of this little cove.

It would be great place for a shark exclusion net, this beach. Most bathers who were taken were right in the shallows.

However, this would not solve the surfing problem. There used to be a cool kids surfing club at 2nd beach but they lost a few members and the club was disbanded.

Even the lifeguards train only in the lagoon in this place.

Let’s just all hope that the KZNSB or someone else can apply technology to this shark and human mixing pot.
