A perfect Durban Day for 1 December 2025 and the opening of the shad season!
Low tide at 6h30, high at lunch time, back out by 7pm. Light offshore breeze in the early that will swing later and come from the south, but also gently.
Aside from shad, couta and dorado are being spoken about uip and down the coast. With the odd shoal of yellowfin tuna getting into the mix.
Brown water still prevails but the Agulhas should be eating away at it and taking it south slowly. If the rains hold off a while (first two weeks of December are always peach) then the rivers might run out of brown water and it could clear up again one more time before the proper wet season sets in.
