Tweni 2s Today – Surfing Contest at Umtentweni: this event has gained notable momentum since it’s inception as a fun weekend for surfers and families, all those years ago.

Now it’s more like the Gunston 500!

So much going on – all the while, teams of two battle it out in today’s perfect waves and conditions, for the first prize of a bucket of money! ANd a whole lot of fun!

this is Kevin at Qora Mouth just north of Mazeppa Bay
Southern Transkei
well major movement moving past here
uh we’ve had a large shoal
and I’m gonna say it’s much more than a pilot shoal
um has already passed through Nabaha
it’s up near Dwesa which is near the Mbashi River
The Haven Hotel reported in
that there were lots of birds there yesterday
so I’m expecting this shoal um
to come in a lot closer
we got an east wind blowing today
which should cool the water down considerably
the inshore water is sitting at about 22 yesterday
but it’s gonna cool down
gonna bring them in off the shelf
and they should be reaching Port St John’s
probably in the next two days
but should be going through Hole in the Wall
anytime this weekend so waiting for some good footage
but yeah game on guys game on”
