Where
WildView is set right up high over Coffee Bay. Views to the horizon, and down to the beach. You can simply park your car when you get there, and walk! You can walk to the beach. You can hike the hills. You can go over to Mbomvu for some fun. And walking around the place is just the best way to meet the locals and absorb the Xhosa culture. Colourful. Polite. And such good humour!

Things to Do in Coffee Bay
Healthy and fun living is the underlying theme when visiting in Coffee Bay. Hiking is a daily option in 360-degree directions and all around you. Beaches, gorges, waterfalls…all surrounded by the rolling Transkei hills that this place is known for. Meet the locals and learn their cultures and traditions. Fishing might even be the main reason you visit his bio-rich area. From shad to bluefish – there is a fish swimming around here with your name on it. Surfing breaks can be found at both the main beach and Mbomvu, around the corner to the south. And then another great spot right in front of Wildview. The banks do shift around, and winter time is definitely best. But in summer, you can surf in the east all day on that zippy little right-hander breaking on boulders into the Mbomvu bay. Foraging for seafood at low tide is so much fun. So many little creatures to see. And eat! Mussels are an easy favourite. And with a little skill (or help from the locals) crayfish is on the menu!
Birding around here is surprisingly rich with seabirds and fish eagles stealing most of the show. African Finfoot is one of the more prized critters you can try to tick off on your master list. The variety and complexity of the ravines and gorges throughout the Transkei makes for prime habitat for a range of birds.
