Spearfishing Barra and Tofo
Spearfishing Barra and Tofo waters. There are plenty of reefs to explore in this vaste area. From the fabled Manta Reef down at the south extreme of our zone, to very far north. 40 Miles far in fact! And dotted all in between are the reefs that make this area a favourite for so long.
As the Mozambique current rubs up against the continental shelf a few clicks off the coast, Marlin and sailfish swim by. Wahoo. Tuna…all found in these jagged bottom waters. In the shallows we can find all sorts including kingfish, king and queen mackerel, cobia and the like. So many species here!
Accommodation is in nice big houses, down the beach in Tofo. Boats launch out front, or over at Barra, a 20-minute tow away. We can also stay out a few days, staying at Linga Linga, Massinga or Pomene (surcharge applies), if you like.
This price is for 7 days and 6 nights. You have the boat and guide for 35 hours in total for the week. That’s a lot of time out there, you can also use the boat for going to town, or the islands. There is great snorkelling and spearing right in the Inhambane Bay in some places. Extra boat hours are available on request.
All meals and cooldrinks/waters are included. Three meals a day. Coffee and tea. BYO snacks and booze.
BYO equipment and spares. You will need longer guns and ropes. Heavier duty stuff that can hold onto the bigger fish we are going to encounter. BYO spinning sticks and fishing tackle for extra value.
This tour is available all year. The best times are in summer. Pricing is based on a group of four, which is the minimum. If your group is less or more, then we can adjust the pricing accordingly.
