Lodges Partnering with The Sardine News
Lodges Partnering with The Sardine News: Teamwork is dreamwork…

In Mozambique, Madagascar and South Africa, we have partnered with lodges and tour operators to win bookings, using consistent content marketing.
We have been doing this a long time now, having started this business in the late 1980s at a printed tabloid, we are still going strong! We were bought out and sold out a couple of times. But now we operate online as a bunch of websites and content channels.
Our Sardine Reports go through the roof with traffic in the Sardine Run. The rest of the time, we are busy enough!
Why Partner?
Our audience primarily consists of wave riders, anglers, and divers – ‘nature-lovers’ – the perfect demographic for your lodge. By working together, we can create engaging content that resonates with your target market.
How It Works:
- Content Creation: together (with a bit of help from AI) we generate a steady and interesting stream of clips, photos, and stories…
- Publishing: We handle content creation and broadcasting across our platforms, including our websites and multiple YouTube channels. And many social nets.
- Enquiries and Quotes: We manage the pages, handle the enquiries, and collaborate with you on quotes and other business.
Lights, camera, action!
All you really have to do is pop us a few videos or photos, consistently.
On-site Broadcasting
We offer to share our expertise in content creation by producing and broadcasting from your establishments. Our primary publication is thesardine.co.za, which consistently generates relevant content and attracts enquiries in the fishing, and surfing, diving, birding, nature-lover audiences we have attracted…
We shall be bringing, to the party…
- Minimum 6 hours per day
- multiple cameras, mics and other equipment (small, compact, waterproof)
- sufficient computing power to run a TV Station
During training and content creation sessions at your lodge, we require
- board and lodging at the venue (one or two pax).
- line management level co-operation with the staff and trainees.
- Daily fee (negotiable)

Commission Structure:
Every trip we do is customised to every detail. We tailor trips specifically for our guests. However, the following is a guide as to how remuneration to The Sardine News works, once the bookings start to flow.
Commissions vary from job to job, and place to place.
We utilise third-party boats and vehicles, which will be factored into each quote individually, if these resources are used.
Let’s collaborate and make the most of the opportunities available in the social marketing playing field right now. Especially since AI has showed up!
And get a bunch of bookings together!
