Father’s Day Sea Conditions in Durban by Adam Kamdar: Happy Father’s Day from all of us here The Sardine News! In this edition of the Sardine News, we have Adam Kamdar, on point, at the Durban Beachfront.

Good morning, everyone. It’s June 16th, 2024 in Durban. Happy Father’s Day, everyone. As you can see, low tide has just occurred. The time right now is just before sunrise and it’s neap tide. So the difference between low tide and high tide, uh, is just about 40 centimeters.

So not much flow. in the tides. But we are just past low tide at the moment. At the moment, it’s just before sunrise. This site is called https://satides.co.za. Next, we go to Wind Guru. That’s our forecast for Sunday on Wind Guru. As you can see, light winds throughout the day settled swell.

1.5 m dropping to 1. 4 m. Swell period will become 12 seconds later. Temperatures around 20 to 22 degrees. Degrees throughout the day and a little cloud cover. No chance of rain today. Next site is Tides for Fishing, as you can see here. Best times for fishing today, according to tides for fishing between, uh, just after 6:00 AM and then again, uh, after, after 6:00 PM say 6:42 PM onwards.

Go figure. I’m going fishing at nine o’clock and best fishing is from six 15 to eight 15. Let’s go to the current conditions.

And here we have a gorgeous view of the Durban beachfront. Lovely settled conditions. Lots of boats out already. A few yachts sailing around. I think it’s going to be a great fishing day with lots of bait around. I hear there are lots of mozzies, red eye, mackerel, all sorts of baits off Durban. Um, and the gill deck are biting well.

Let’s hope everyone’s going to have an awesome Father’s Day. Cheers, till later.
