Cooking Surf in Durban and other Ocean Tales by Adam Kamdar 7am 23 October 2024: If you are a surfer in Durban, today the ocean is your friend. Painted pretty by a gentle offshore breeze, the swell is coming into the beaches in Durban town at a really functional angle.
There are peaks and runners left and right all over the place. There is a bit of a crowd but at least not many waves will go by unridden. With a mellow low tide only scheduled for 1pm or so, the waves look to even maybe gonna improve as the morning unfolds.
The ongoing spate of warm water continues as the buoys reveal an inviting 22 degree Celsius average up and down the coast. The water must be gonna clear up soon in some places too. Meaning the divers can get back in and let us know what is going on down there.
Township Hyper is starting their Black November sale early this year. You can find out what is going on and stay in touch through the Township Hyper Facebook page. Thank you Adam for the surf report…
Thank you Adam, and for the gallery shot of the waves in Durban this morning at 7am…
