This weeks Spearfishing in Kwazulu Natal report in from Jason Heyne, our man underwater and in focus…
Conditions this week have been well bellow average with huge storm surf pounding the coastline. The good news is the swell dropped today (Friday). Saturday a fresh North east blows from early picking the swell up to 2m later in the day. Sunday a fresh South west blows from around midmorning picking the swell up from 1.5m to 2m . There was viz reported south and off Durban today. Daga salmon and brusher are here in numbers and the reefs should be nice and unsanded after the big surf all week. Saturday early or Sunday early will be the best bet for a dive. I’m leaning towards Sunday. As always dive safe and straight spears.
