Sharks and all in Mossel Bay

Sharks and all in Mossel Bay…by Brandon Parsons

More news in from The Sardine Newspaper correspondent Brandon Parsons. When he is not teaching people how to papgooi and catch bass in an around Gauteng – he is chasing huge sharks, rays and other cool gamefish in the Southern Cape area – Mossells being his favourite haunt…
“I went down to mosselbaai recently in search of some sharks and managed to keep myself and my crew busy, despite the conditions being horrible and the sea not playing along at all .

On this adventure we were targeting some non edibles again, and really got stuck in properly. Our rods were crazy busy with the smaller shark species that I managed to get just behind the bank. We were getting bored of the smaller ones when suddenly on of our crew’s rod revved like a rental car in Chatsworth! He was on proper and managed to land a really nice size raggie (Ragged Tooth Shark).
Since I left, there have been reports of some smaller garrick and a couple of nice duckies!!!!!!
Lets all remember to catch and release – as it is the future of our sport. Brandon Parsons”
Thanks Brandon – keep catching those sharks man!

  • I am so upse right now with the thought of returning tto school.
life is so much better without it.it is seriously makin me depressed but it feels better to understand there are
individuals who feel tthe exact saje manner. Not those kinds of those who say 'oh I hate school' but look absolutely happy each
    day.
