The sea conditions this week have not been great with not much viz around and plenty surge from surf. A light south west wind is expected Saturday with the swell dropping off to 1.5m. Sunday light variable wind with a swell of 1.4m. Shark nets have been pulled in anticipation of a buster south west wind come Monday. Viz has been reported far south and far north coast. Our species shore dive challenge is on Saturday and best of luck to all entrants! See you at the weigh in at wings Virginia airport . ..no weigh in after 15h00. The DUC garrick comp was good considering the sea conditions with Phillip Dreyer getting 1st place with a garrick of 12.8kg and Juggs Hotlzman getting 2nd place with the biggest bag of close to 9kg. Thanks to Chris West, Freedivers and Rob Allen! Great to see this comp back again. As always dive safe and straight spears.
