This 1000lb Black Marlin was loaded, off Bazaruto, on boat Black Bob, a few years back.
27 Year old lady angler Stephanie Choate was in the chair and she had more than a fight on her hands. Eventually however the fish got tail wrapped and died.
They were able to plane the massive weight to the surface and before too long realised just how big the fish turned out to be.
1018lbs!
They returned to their mother ship, the Quo Vadis, where the fish was weighed on the correct equipment, and verified as being a grander marlin. Not something too many 27 year old ladies have done before!
