Aladino Jasse first tuna off Maputo

Aladino Jasse,  fishing with Captain Bino Nordin, out of Maputo on the awesome 31ft custom built Sholay,  after bagging his first ever yellowfin tuna.

The Maputo guys fish very far out, 40 miles.  Chasing the giant blues that swim in the 500m waters. Check the heavy tackle they use.

This day, a few tuna were on the menu. Normally it’s 5 heavy sticks dragging huge konas and plastics, Duarte Rato style.

Duarte and Bino Fish these waters together, whenever Duarte is in town. This is one boat we all wanna be on!

More fishing news from Maputo as soon as the east stops blowing…the billfish season is about to start… just need two or three south winds and it’s on!
