Presley Bay fish-off: report by Mike Stubbs
The fish off held down at Presley Bay, in the Transkei, this last weekend, went off really well, in spite of the horrendous easterly wind that ushered in our current low pressure conditions. The barometer that morning sat at 1034, giving us warning of what was to come blasting through later.
The morning spent fishing for sharks but no luck, bronze bream started to seem more and more attractive. Billy Lorenzo caught a handsome 45cm Galjoen to take top honours…and the many bronze bream taken from the gullies, made up the rest of what was a good all round fish off.
