we’re Monster Monster Johnnies
all the fish and more fish and more fish and more
and I got a turtle sorry about that
got a turtle as well this morning
Ian come on
give me a voice note explaining the damn turtle

so yeah I’m fishing SandSpit this morning
I’m not sure if those big Johnnies were um
shoaling in those turtles
but the turtles were right on the shore break
they must have been ugh um
about 10 11
maybe 12 at any one time in front of us
and obviously you got the guys uh
fishing paddle tail and um
it was just a matter of time so uh yeah
one guy went on with a paddle tail so um yeah
uh about a 45 minute fight
eventually the turtle um was landed
um yeah couple of pics and uh yeah
safely returned to the to the ocean but yeah
some really big turtles there so yeah
I don’t know why the guys are throwing paddle tail
amongst the turtles
it’s just a matter of time before you hook up
creating unnecessary stress
so yeah um
just a bit of a feedback on that turtle

and my next question is
did that stupid turtle actually take the paddle tail
or did he get jigged by mistake
hi there Sean um yeah
so in this instance this poor turtle
uh well got hooked in the neck
the water was very dirty
so um
there may have been a chance that it was
a vibration strike
but I personally I think it was an accidental hook up
so yeah um
however bear in mind that myself personally
I’m sitting on a tally of about eight turtles
two hookups uh
foul hook on the flapper on the fin and the others
the turtles actually took the bait
physically ate the bait luckily
um you know
I’ll be I use a circle most of the time and um
yeah a hook was uh safely removed um
out of all those other turtles
but yes Sean come back to today
definitely an accidental hook up um
water very dirty so yeah
um yeah that’s for me
