Cape Town

Featuring: Hout Bay Backpackers

Hout Bay Backpackers

For a really cool alternative to the bustling city bowl in Cape Town, Hout Bay Backpackers is right at the beginning of the featureful Cape Peninsula’s Atlantic seaboard. Hout Bay is a few mountains south of Cape Town, and at the foot of the majestic Chapman’s Peak – the gateway (uh…toll road), to the southern Peninsula attractions.

Hout Bay itself is a once quaint fishing village that has attracted many to it’s picturesque and convenient setting. A 20 minute winding and beautiful drive gets you back into Cape Town central, past Llandudno (best surfing close-out in the world), Bantry Bay and Camps Bay, over Kloof Nek and into the city bowl, or keep winding along the coast through Seapoint and Greenpoint and onto the Waterfront – an easy place to get completely lost!

And Hout Bay has this top notch backpacker establishment right overlooking the beach and colourful wharf of Hout Bay harbour. The spot is run clean and efficient and the accommodation is super. Views are amazing and safe parking is provided.
